![]() ![]() The new stones (granite, andesite and dorite) actually are stone (block ID 1) with different damage values (1-6 for the 3 types and their polished versions), so they'll just become regular stone (possibly keep their "screwy" damage values). A brand new map created in 1.8 and then downgraded would just have blocks replaced by older blocks or air. This is a very good warning, however so long as you start with a fresh 1.8 world and so have nothing to lose this could be an interesting experiment. (#spoiler) = neat!
